About RunLoop

Built to answer the question runners ask before every activity.

How far should I run—and where should I go?

The idea

Most fitness platforms are strongest after a run. RunLoop begins earlier by helping runners create a route that fits their mileage, terrain, starting point, surroundings, and workout.

Now on the App Store

RunLoop Runner is available for iPhone. Version 1.2.0 brings a fresh athletic design, clearer running controls, and faster route building. Android remains in beta.

The product today

RunLoop supports ranked custom routes, Community routes as eligible search results, nearby-start discovery, address entry, GPS-based Quick Run tracking, workouts, local runner profiles, voice personalization, trail discovery, run history, route replay, ratings, notes, post-run summaries, and an optional app-and-web Community beta with profiles, clubs, challenges, and leaderboards.

The outdoor vision

RunLoop is expanding beyond roads by combining public trail and park data with terrain-aware maps and route preferences. The goal is to make parks, paths, trail systems, and runnable public spaces easier to discover.

Our principles

  • Useful routes over false claims of perfection
  • Clear labeling of estimates and unavailable sensor data
  • Local-first fitness data with optional, deliberate Community sharing
  • Public map data with explicit reminders to verify access and conditions
  • Runner choice: build a route or simply press Go
